A Magnificent Polychrome-enamelled of a celestial official. (Beidi)

The bearded deity solemnly seated on a rectangular throne with hands resting on his knees. He wears a loose robe and with his hair combed back as if he just finished bathing. Zhengwu, also known as ‘Xuanwu’ is the deity watching and guarding oceans, and the north quadrant of the universe.
